14 Best Halal Restaurants in Milton

Burger Factory

At Burger Factory, the gears never stop turning, and the burgers never disappoint. If you love crafting your own burger, this place is for you. It’s hard to get bored of this spot with its vast selection of ingredients. Burger Factory’s pricing is slightly above-average, but you’re paying for quality. My recommendation is the Juicy Lucy, a regular Beef patty stuffed to a critical mass with melted sharp Cheddar. As for toppings, I would never go without the mayo-based signature factory sauce. The rest is up to you.

Paramount Fine Foods

Paramount Fine Foods is the central hub of middle-eastern cuisine in Milton and many other places in Canada, and for good reason. If you’re looking for something reliable, then a mixed grill dish for $22.99 is the way to go. If you want to keep it simple, you can’t go wrong with a Chicken Shawarma dish for $16.99. My favourite part about middle-eastern cuisine is the assortment of appetizers and side dishes. You can find labneh, hummus, baba-ghanoush, falafel, manakeesh, and more at Paramount.

Yeh Cheez

81 James Snow Pkwy N #4, Milton, ON L9E 0H3

Modern Pakistani food is not very common, and places like Yeh Cheez prove precisely why we need more of it. Ask any visitor, and one of the first things they’ll rave about is Yeh Cheez’s mouth-wateringly flavourful fries. You can add garlic, mayo, masala, and/or chipotle to your fries.

There’s also an array of Paratha rolls, Quesadillas, Burgers, and other Sandwiches to choose from for the main meal. If you are a first-timer, I recommend going with a Chicken Tikka Roll with Garlic Mayo Sauce for less than $9. You can make it a combo with fries and a pop for an extra $4.75.

Afghan Grill

This spot keeps it simple and guarantees authentic, fresh, and, most importantly, halal Afghani cuisine. At this spot, portions are big, and costs are reasonable. Keep in mind that due to the location’s smaller size, you’re likely to order food for takeout. However, the indoor dining area is immaculate and well-designed. Though there are many menu options, my personal favourite is the Waziri Kabob. It comes with a skewer of chicken breast and a skewer of Kofta Kabob served alongside rice, salad, and soft, warm naan bread, all for $16.99.

Cafe Zauq

327 Bronte St. S, Milton, ON L9T 4A4

Cafe Zauq is the jack of all trades in South-Asian cuisine. Halal Pakistani, Indian, and Hakka cuisine, all at a good value, is what you can find here. Zauq dishes out all-day combos for only $10.99. These filling combos are made up of various combinations of Biryani rice, meat and veggie curries, and more.

If you want to take it to the next level and have a serious feast, the Zauq family deals come loaded with enough to feed ten people. Curries, Chicken, Rice, Naan, and Noodles all in a giant feast. It’s no wonder Cafe Zauq labels themselves the one-stop spot for halal feasts.

Hero Burger

850 Unit 7J,Bldg #7, Main St E, Milton, ON L9T 0J4

Hero Burger delivers high-quality burgers at fast-food-like speeds. You can choose from a list of tried-and-tested burgers or build your own burger at Hero Burger. When I say build your own burger, I mean that in every sense. You have control over your bun, protein, toppings, and condiments. If there is only one downside to this spot, it would be the cost. The cheapest item, a basic signature cheeseburger, not including sides or a drink, will set you back $9.

Twice the Deal Pizza

There’s nothing better than having pizza delivered for those late-night hangouts with friends and family. Twice the Deal’s halal pizza is not only delicious but incredibly priced. The Godzilla deal sets you back $24. You get two extra-large pizzas, with three toppings on each and two dipping sauces of your choice. It’s hard to get a deal much better than this.

Mary Brown’s

Mary Brown’s – Main Street Location

Mary Brown’s – Market Drive Location

Mary Brown’s should be on every chicken lovers list. Crispy, tender, and incredibly flavourful chicken is made here every day. Signature chicken meals come with chicken and a side of taters, coleslaw or mac and cheese, and a pop. But, If you prefer a sandwich, then the big mary is perfect for you.

Here’s an insider tip: if you’re looking for some seriously delicious, not overly-greasy, and crispy fries, you should ask for the Nashville Taters. Depending on when you are reading this, they may or may not have made their way to the Milton location. If they have, then you’re in for a treat. If they haven’t, regular taters are an excellent alternative.

Daata Grill

585 Ontario St S Unit 14, Milton, ON L9T 2N2

Daata Grill is a spot that has mastered the fusion of Indian and Pakistani cuisine. One of the fan-favourites of this spot is the duo platter that comes with your choice of 2 kabobs (Chicken or Beef) and rice, one naan, salad, sauces and raita, and it’s all for $12.99. You can also add fries for $1.00. Another fan-favourite is Ali’s touch $5 special wraps. For an additional $3, you can add in fries, a salad, and a pop.

Premium Hakka House

Premium Hakka House is another spot that has beautifully fused Indian and Chinese cuisine. The menu is so expansive that there’s something for everyone. What’s more, you will likely need to make multiple visits to try everything that interests you. Chilli Chicken and the Hot and Sour soup are among the customer favourites. This spot is also one of the few that serves up delicious vegetable and chicken Momos (steamed dumplings).

Galito’s Flame Grilled Chicken

81 James Snow Pkwy N #1, Milton, ON L9T 0R3

We covered fried chicken earlier in this list. Now it’s time to take a look at grilled chicken. Galito’s serves up well-marinated chicken that’s flame-grilled to perfection. Some customer favourites include the Peri fries, Garlic buns, and, of course, the chicken. The meals are reasonably priced, and this spot has a spacious, ambient dining area. The best part is that you can take a slice of the flavour home with you by grabbing a bottle from Galito’s line of Peri-Peri sauces.

Chainsmoker Urban Halal Barbecue

101 James Snow Pkwy N #1, Milton, ON L9E 0H4

Loaded burgers, juicy smoked briskets, mouth-watering tender ribs, and it’s all halal. This place is one of those hidden gems that Miltonians are lucky to have in their backyard. The cost is above-average but reasonable for the quality of food you are getting. Customers also cite the helpful staff as one of the memorable aspects of their visit.

Meltwich Food Co.

101 James Snow Pkwy N Unit 4, Milton, ON L9E 0H4

The Meltwich Food Co. specializes in all things cheesy. This spot whips up delectable burgers, poutines, fried chicken and still has room for a plant-based menu. However, they’re best known for their crispy, melty grilled cheese sandwiches. All items are well-priced, and the Meltwich has an excellent weekly lineup of daily specials. Mondays and Tuesdays are among the best days. Mondays are for the standard burger combo with fries and pop for $10, and Tuesdays get you a classic grilled cheese for $3.50.

Biryani Boyz

1594 Leger Wy #3, Milton, ON L9E 0B9

This spot boasts a rich and varied menu, but as the name suggests, Biryani is their specialty. Alongside their spicy and savoury Biryani, this restaurant whips up all kinds of Curries, Tikkas, Kababs, and variations of naan. And if you’re in the mood for some dessert, you can’t go wrong with the Gulab Jaman.

Biryani Boyz also offers some good-value, satisfying daily specials. Last but not least, students are treated well at this spot with a $7 chicken biryani and pop meal.
