PRICE?

This includes some punch, water, some mini chocolate bars to snack on, a bunch of great prizes you might win, helps provide some revenue to a great church space, helps us continue to be able to offer Christian specific events and matchmaking, and of course a chance to meet up to 80+ other single Christians.

And always remember the average cost of a date is $100.

Since our big 2023 spring event with almost 100 guests we have had a number of large mixers like this with 80+ people and a bunch of smaller speed dating events as well – including even having a recent speed dating event in Edmonton during Valentines Day / Family Day weekend.

Also prior to the pandemic – at our first ever speed dating event on Valentine’s Day 2020 – with only 15 men and 15 women – one couple actually got married 😉 – because they met at our event and quickly fell in love thereafter. You will meet 3 times as many people.

The price of an average date is $100, so this is quite the deal, seeing as it costs us money to rent the space, provide some drinks / snacks, prizes (various), our invested time, etc.

WHO IS THIS FOR?

This is a mixer event for single Christians (aged 27-47). Where there can be some exceptions to this age as well – reach out – ie. sometimes we get more younger people reaching out and can expand on this to a lower age range, etc.

You are a guy looking to meet a nice girl and vice versa.

We can’t promise you will meet “the one”, but perhaps you will meet someone who will introduce you to the one – maybe their friend, cousin, co-worker, etc.

We know the idea of meeting strangers is a bit awkward and intimidating but it’s a great way to meet like minded members of the opposite sex.

We will make it fun. We promise. You’re single and wanting to meet someone … what do you have to lose?

Plus, hanging out with, having fun with, and trying to date other people who love Jesus is a good thing.

WHAT WILL HAPPEN AT THE EVENT?

The offical event will run from 6:00 pm until 9:00 pm.

You will be greeted by your Host, Josh, where he will check you off his master list, give you a quick tour, and provide you with a chance to start mingling, etc.

Once a majority of people have arrived our host will explain how the evening will run.

Starting off with a light fun game that will get everyone interacting and to award the first prize of the night.

From here Josh will be mingling with the crowd and making sure everyone is having a good time. You will have a chance to meet all kinds of new people, chat, flirt, have some punch, play some fun games, maybe win a prize, or even meet the one?, etc.

We will play a few other fun games throughout the night for a chance to interact and win some prizes. Trying to introduce as many people to one another as possible.

We may even do some lightning round speed dating as well. We will see.

We will encourage people who did feel some kind of friendship or spark to feel free to ask for contact info – email, instagram, phone, as long as it’s done respectfully, etc.

WHAT TO WEAR?

We want you to wear whatever makes you feel comfortable.

What would you wear on a chilled out first date? Big first impression opportunity…so let’s look snazzy.

Your host Josh will be wearing dress pants, a dress shirt and potentially a tie or sport jacket, but he’s the host.

So, wear whatever you feel comfortable and confident in.
