Nature Series: Strawberry Teachings

Join us for a special evening experience at Crawford Lake on Saturday, June 20. The first event in our Nature Series, Strawberry Teachings: Gifts of the Heart Berry, invites families to explore the cultural and ecological importance of the strawberry, often known as the “heart berry.” Guided by story, reflection, and the shared knowledge of Grandmothers, participants will learn about relationships to the land, gratitude, and the sweetness of the season. Enjoy a strawberry drink and take part in a strawberry-themed craft to carry these teachings home.
