Oh Look, Fabric! XL Lined Tote Bag Workshop

Sometimes, we just need that XL Tote Bag for all the things, perfect beach tote, farmers’ market tote, grocery tote, travel tote, so many options with this one. It is a great size and also features a gusset bottom.

Date: Thursday, September 18th, 2025

Time: 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. (arrive 10 minutes prior to the start of the workshop to get settled in)

Workshop Fee: $60.00/pp + HST (paid at the time of booking)

Duration of Workshop: Approximately 2 hours

Minimum Participants: 2

Maximum Participants: 4

Age Requirement: 16+

Skill Level: Confident Beginner. Must know how to operate and trouble shoot a sewing machine without assistance.

Our workshops start promptly and on time….be sure to arrive 10 minutes early to set up and settle in. If you arrive after the workshop start time, you will be transferred to the next available upcoming workshop.

What to Bring:

-Sewing machine is good working order

-Machine needles 90/14

-Rinse away basting tape

-Chalk or Heat erase fabric pen

-Basic sewing kit (seam ripper, thread snips, clips, pins, fabric scissors, rotary cutter)

-100% polyester thread (2 smaller spools to match your exterior fabric and interior fabric)

Pre-Workshop:

-Fabric is a separate cost. Come into the store 3-4 days minimum in advance of your scheduled workshop and pick out your fabric for this workshop.

-You will be emailed a list of materials to purchase and cutting instructions, 1 week before your workshop.

-All fabric must be pre-cut and sf101 fused prior to the start of the workshop, if you come unprepared, you will be put into the next available workshop.

You will receive a 10% discount on fabrics and tools when purchasing in-store (applies to regularly priced items only, cannot be combined with any other promotion or sale), for the purpose of this workshop only. If you are an existing Sewing Club Member, the additional 10% discount will not apply.

Please Note:

-If the minimum amount of participants is not met, the workshop will be cancelled and the workshop fee will be refunded.

-Restroom is not wheelchair/walker accessible.

-When you register for a workshop…. consider your payment as confirmation. Also, unless we contact you either by phone or email, workshops will run as scheduled.

Workshop Policies:

-In order to ensure that each student receives enough attention to learn and complete a project in the allotted time frame, our workshops are limited in the number of participants, based on the workshop being taught unless otherwise stated. Materials and supplies are not included in the workshop fee unless otherwise noted.

-Safety is our first concern at Oh Look, Fabric! Should a participant not adhere to the instructor’s instructions and/or be a disruption for other participants, the participant may be removed from the workshop and the workshop fee will be forfeited.

-No spectators allowed.

Payment and Cancellation Policies:

-Spaces in our workshops are limited, therefore to reserve a seat in any of our workshops, payment in full must be received at the time of registration. You may register for a workshop in person or on our website at www.ohlookfabric.com.

-Cancellations must be made 1 week prior to the workshop start date; you will receive a full refund.

-Cancellations made 72 hours prior to the workshop start date; will receive a 50% refund.

-Cancellations made less than 72 hours of the workshop start date; forfeit their fee entirely.
