The New Year brings new and exciting events in Milton alongside faithful favourites. Experience of the Month
- Winter Wanderings: Guided Snowshoeing Tour: continuing into the New Year until January 4, and then weekends from January 10 to February 16, join in a guided snowshoeing tour of Crawford Lake’s Longhouse Village. Open to beginners, this tour focuses on exploring natural history and includes snowshoeing equipment and fireside hot chocolate and marshmallows.

- Drinking Habits: The Milton Players Theatre Group presents Drinking Habits, a comical play of two nuns who have been secretly making wine to keep their convent’s doors open. Don’t miss out on this enchanting multi-day event that runs from January 20 to February 7, with afternoon or evening showings.
- Pilates Reformer Flow: Fall out of fitness over the holidays? Start back into it with a combination of Pilates and resistance machines. This regime takes place twice a week, Tuesdays and Thursdays, from 5:15 to 6:15 pm.
- Laos-C-Chef Weekend! Friday + Saturday: A new regular ongoing event to take place on the first Friday and Saturday of every month featuring Laos-C-Chef. Join them for some delicious food and fresh beer at Third Moon Brewing.

- Trivia with Quiz Master James @ The Eighth Note: A ten-week trivia night event not to be missed! Book your team at eightnote.ca and join quizmaster James for an epic battle of who knows the most!
- Grace Church’s Walking Group at Mill Pond: Meet at Grace Church at 8:30 am or at the Mill Pond Gazebo at 8:45 am for a nice, gentle walk around Milton’s iconic Mill Pond.
- Wednesday Night Trivia at St. Louis Bar & Grill in Milton: Another great opportunity for more trivia! Join in the fun at St. Louis Bar & Grill. Reservations are required on Eventbrite and a phone call to Louis Bar & Grill to secure your spot at (905) 875-1333.
- Strum Fun: Know a 6–12-year-old looking to learn how to play the Ukulele? This 8-week session, held every Thursday, starting January 8, from 5:00 pm to 5:45 pm or 6:00 pm to 6:45 pm, is the perfect way to introduce them to this fun and playful instrument. These are small-group sessions of up to 3 participants, with Ukuleles provided.
- Nick Vescio @ The Eighth Note: Live music from Nick Vescio for three Thursdays beginning January 8 from 6:30 pm to 9:30 pm; perfect for a date night and a serenade from Nick and his guitar.
- Brazily Dance Fitness Party: Samba, Funk & Sweat in Milton!: Samba your way through a 10-week dance workout that will change your life. Join for the entire season or pop in for a drop-in class and get your cardio on every Friday from January 9 to March 27, no experience needed. Please register at Eventbrite.
- Coding with Scratch & Scratch Jr: Open to ages 4-12 years, this 5-session program lets little ones explore the world of programming and design interactive stories and animations. Each session takes place on Saturday morning from 9:00 am to 10:15 am. Registration is required.
- Cooking Up a Story – Saturdays: A 5-session cooking event for parents and children ages 2-5 years. Each recipe has a themed story and is age-appropriate to get them excited about food, preparation, and cooking elements that go with each. Please register for this ongoing event that begins Saturday, January 10, and ends Saturday, February 7, and takes place at 11:00 am.
- Chess: Open for youth ages 7-13 years, register them for this 5-session chess event that takes place from 12:00 pm to 1:15 every Saturday from January 10 to February 7. Each session will teach them to learn the fundamentals of chess. Don’t forget to register.
- Euchre Tourney @ The Eighth Note: Get your trump card ready for this euchre tournament that runs from January 12 to February 9. It includes weekly prizes and cumulative prizes for regular attendees. Book your spot ahead of time at eighthnote.ca and write Euchre in the message or call 289-429-1245.
- She Can Be Media Savvy!: Calling all girls between the ages of 10 and 13 who have an interest in media to attend this 10-session Thursday evening event that runs from January 15 to March 26. They’ll learn to think critically, spot fact vs. fiction, and develop a better understanding of media and the world. Registration is required.
- Wedding Open House: Country Heritage Park invites couples looking to get married to their open house on this two-day event, January 22 and 25. Walk the grounds and explore their historic barns, or ask questions relating to your special day. Please register for this event.
- NCIM Saturday Night Racing: Test your track racing ability at The Mattamy National Cycling Centre from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm. Please note that you must have your UCI Track Cycling license to be eligible to race. More information can be found here.

- All 4 Her: Lights, Camera, Action – Winter Break Camp: Open to ages 7-11, register your aspiring filmmaker in a day camp where they’ll learn how to storyboard, block, write, and put on a mini play.
- The Slime Lab Experience – Friday: If your kid has been dying to make slime at home, bring them to The Slime Lab, where they can create and play with slime to their heart’s content, keeping your home mess-free!
- The Good Boys @ The Eighth Note: Love chilling back with delicious food, delectable drinks, and great music? Come be entertained by The Good Boys, who play music from every decade. Don’t forget to bring your music requests.
Saturday, January 3
- Family Paint Party: School is almost back in action, take this night for one more chance to bond with the family and have some fun! This event takes place at Shoeless Joe’s, so be sure to come hungry!
- Tree Top Poets at The Eighth Note: Head on over to The Eighth Note for a night of great entertainment by The Tree Top Poets playing classic rock while you hang out with family or friends.
Wednesday, January 7
- From Clutter to Clarity: A Mindful Transition into 2026: Help yourself start the New Year off on the right, clutter-free foot. Check out this FREE event as a fantastic way to release what no longer serves you and learn how to practice mindfulness in all that you do. Pre-register for this event hosted by Mila Bog, a personal growth and relationship coach.
Thursday, January 8
- Sushi Making Class at Third Moon Brewing: If you’ve always loved sushi and want to learn how to make it, head over to Third Moon Brewing from 7:00 pm to 8:00 pm and meet others who also have a love for everything sushi. Registration can be done through Eventbrite.

- The Foundations of Therapeutic Touch (Levels 1 & 2): A two-day event from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm, January 10 to January 11, learn about complementary healing modalities in this Therapeutic Touch® Workshop. Saturday, January 17
- Track OCup #2: Mattamy National Cycling Centre hosts the 2025-2026 Track OCup series. This is the second of three separate racing opportunities. Registration is open to riders 8 years and older. Registration for all OCups is required and will close on the Wednesday prior to the event.
- Family Paint Party: Shoeless Joe’s plays host to this enchanting paint night with local artist Disha. Arrive early to choose your seat and order some food and drinks.

- Family Paint Party: A fun all-ages painting event at Keenan’s Irish Pub for beginners to experienced painters looking for a fun time. Don’t forget to come hungry and get some food and drinks while you’re there.

- Provincial Meet West #4: Come to this FREE mixed gender Ontario Speed Skating Event from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm.
- Battle of the Youth Bands!: Inviting all youth bands 18 years or younger to participate in the Battle of the Bands competition at the Eighth Note. Registration is required before January 3. The competition will be judged, and prizes will be awarded.
- Thrashing Milton – A Night of Heavy Music: Third Moon Brewing hosts a night of heavy, thrashing music. Doors open at 7:00 pm for this 19+ event.

- West Regional Meet – Milton: Cheer on Ontario speed skaters nine and under at this exciting racing event.
Monday, January 26
- All 4 Her PA Day: Nature Connect: Keep your girls aged 7-11 active on this Nature Connect PA Day event. They will learn about the Canadian climate and nature, plus create their own butterfly model. The camp runs from 8:30 am to 4:00 pm and requires registration.
- PA Day Camp at Country Heritage Park: PA days don’t have to mean boredom for the kids. Instead, sign them up for a camp day at Country Heritage Park, where they will learn about STEM activities, storytelling, history, and more. Please register for this event.
- PA Day Boredom Buster: Ice Age Adventure Camp: More PA Day camp fun is waiting for your children with this full-day event. Let them explore the Ice Age and learn about prehistoric animals, land, and glaciers.
- Paint Night at East Side Mario’s: Come on out for a fun family night of themed painting, “I’m Snow Happy” at East Side Mario’s. The event requires registration and invites you to come early for food and drinks.

Friday, January 30
- PA Day Camp at Country Heritage Park: Keep your children active this PA Day, and not just sitting staring endlessly at screens. Open to children in grades 1 to 6, here they’ll learn valuable skills and expand their knowledge on topics that will draw them in.
- Highschool PA Day – Stretch & Smoothie Social: Even high school students can use activities to keep them from PA Day boredom. This stretch and smoothie social runs from 12:00 pm to 1:30 pm and lets them unwind with some beginner yoga and enjoy a smoothie and no-bake protein bites. Open to children ages 13 to 17. Please register for this event.
- Jerk Chicken Pop-up with Grant’s Gourmet: Enjoy the delicious combination of Jerk chicken and frothy cold beer at Third Moon Brewing. The event runs from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm.
