November is packed with fun events, from regular trivia nights at local bars and restaurants to legendary performances by artists like Jann Arden and Dallas Smith. And before we know it, December will be here. Get a head start on the holidays with festive markets and seasonal celebrations happening all month long. Milton Experience of the Month

• The Milton Santa Claus Parade: The Santa Claus Parade is back and better than ever, with a theme of A Very Cartoon-y Christmas. Enjoy classic and modern favourite characters like Rudolph and Frosty in this cartoon wonderland. Be sure to share the Christmas spirit with local shops that love to hand out hot chocolate to parade visitors.

Ongoing Events

• Fall Into Nature at Kelso: There are still a couple of days left of Halton Conservation’s Fall into Nature event that ends on November 2. Ride the chairlift for captivating autumnal views and take a walk to soak in all the beauty.   
• City LOVE Scavenger Hunt Date Night for Couples: Grab your favourite partner and your phone and head out for a scavenger hunt around Milton. Pick from multiple dates and get ready to have an evening of intriguing fun.
• Sandy Toes & Salty Kisses: Brought to you by The Milton Players Theatre Group is the story of Audrina Brown, intertwined with a love story and mystery that will keep you guessing till the end. Multiple November dates are available.
• She Can Create: Calling all girl artists. Come out to this free 8-week creative art program. All materials and supplies are provided. Although the program began in September, it will run until December 1.
• Pilates Reformer Flow: Combining Pilates with resistance machines to help you get fit at this twice-a-week exercise series.
• She Can Thrive: Another great She Can event that brings together young women in grades 5-7 to help build strength from the inside out. Although this free program began in September, it will run until November 25.
• Tuesday Night Trivia at Shoeless Joe’s in Milton: Get your trivia on at Shoeless Joe’s with host Neal Macfarlane. Additional chance to win a prize at half-time. While reservations on Eventbrite are required, please also call Shoeless Joe’s at (905) 864-9779 to reserve your table.
• Trivia Tuesday at Ned Devine’s: Want to shake up your trivia night routine? Head on to Trivia Tuesday at Ned Nevine’s for a night of great food, games, and prizes. Plus, when you spend $20, you’ll gain a raffle ticket for the end-of-the-month huge prize. Reserve your table on their website.
• Art Classes for Kids: Help bring out the creative side in your 8+ year old kids every Wednesday from 5 pm to 6 pm. The ticket price covers four sessions, from November 5 to November 26.
• Oh, Look, Fabric! 4-Part Learn to Quilt Workshop: The final session of the 4-part Learn to Quilt Workshop takes place on Wednesday, November 5.
• Wednesday Night Trivia at St. Louis Bar & Grill in Milton: If Tuesday Trivia doesn’t work for you, head to Wednesday night trivia at St. Louis. This is a free event; however, reservations are required on Eventbrite for your tickets and a phone call to Louis Bar & Grill to secure your table at (905) 875-1333. 
• Public Speaking & Leadership Skills- Supporting Women Entrepreneurs: Build your voice in this public speaking and leadership skills series. It runs every Wednesday at Martindale Gardens Community Centre. The first meeting is FREE.
• Date Night at The Note: Bring your loved one and enjoy two main dishes, a shared dessert, and some drinks for $59.99, a great evening out, ensuring you’ll be spoiled. Additionally, live music will be played from 7-10 pm.
• NCIM Saturday Night Racing: If you’ve got your UCI Track Cycling license and race certifications, come out and test your track racing ability at Mattamy National Cycling Centre. There will be four different ability-based categories from which to choose.  This event will be recurring until March.
• All 4 Her – Cook & Conquer: Beginning Wednesday, November 19 and running until December 10, this 4-session program helps show young impressionable girls how to have a healthy relationship with the food they eat. Suitable for ages 8-11.

• Graceway Baptist Church Women to Women Ministry: Come on out and join this women’s group to study testimonies and more of God’s Word in this monthly meetup.
• The 2 Dollar Bills at Ned Devine’s Irish Pub: Enjoy some delicious food and the best of the 70s, 80s, 90s, and early 2000s performed by The 2 Dollar Bills at Ned Devine’s.
• Family Art Workshop: Pumpkin House Creations: Halloween might be over, but it’s still fun to play with pumpkins. This family event lets kids’ imagination come to life as they create a pumpkin house with The Imagination Hive. This is a paid event where all art supplies will be provided.
• Fat Cat Pop-Up: Fat Cat has some Halloween releases they want Milton to experience. Come indulge in some delicious eats from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. or until sold out. Follow on Instagram for all the details.
• Family Paint Party: Let painting instructor Aswini help you create your own creative painting rendition during this paint night event at Boston Pizza.Night of Rock Legends: Zeppelin & Pearl Jam: What’s better than a concert featuring one rock legend? How about two rock legends! Check out Led Zeppelin Meets Pearl Jam (tribute bands) for an epic night of rock & roll music.

Sunday, November 2

• Workshop Description: From the Fine Arts Society of Milton, let Barbara guide you through the traditional street scene subject matter and the colour relationships, edges, composition, and more that help convey the artwork.
• Holiday Live Artist Showcase – Meet the Author & Book Reading: Come and meet local Milton artist and author Pili Rey, creator of the storybook Angelo’s Christmas Present. While the event is free, you have the opportunity to purchase the book at a special price.
• MPO -Meet the Orchestra: Come out and learn more about the Philharmonic Orchestra in this Meet the Orchestra special event. Enjoy a matinee concert that includes Prokofiev’s Peter & The Wolf with a special guest narrator.  
• Family Paint Party: Enjoy a night of painting with your favourite artist, Disha Sharma, at Boston Pizza. Bring a friend and enjoy eating, drinking, and painting your heart out.

• Milton Speed Dating and Comedy Magic Show (Age 34-47): Come and combine the efficiency of speed dating with comedy magic at this one-of-a-kind event. Just bring your best self.
• Laugha-Cadabra: A Comedy and Magic Show: Come laugh and be amazed at this duo comedy magic show.

Thursday, November 6

• Milton Heights Ski Swap:  The Milton Heights Racing Club wants to help you get some great deals on your next set of skis (or snowboard). This event takes place from November 6 to 9. Bring in your used equipment or browse the deals available.
• Sip, Shop & Socialize: A great way to get ahead of your holiday shopping for that special someone. Come peruse their latest lab-grown diamond collections, enjoy some delicious bites and some festival cocktails, and shop some great holiday promotions.
• 2 Mediums. 1 Night. Live Audience Mediumship Readings: Experience Mediums Barbara Quinton and Trish Finch as they conduct live audience mediumship readings at Keenan’s Irish Pub in Milton.
• CFUW November Speaker: Join guest speaker Elaine Reid as she talks about her experience of living for two years on Orkney, a remote island in the North Sea off the coast of Scotland at this free event.

• SCARAMOUCHE – Celebrating the music of Queen: Feel the music of the dynamic Queen Tribute and their greatest hits at FirstOntario Arts Centre. Tickets can be purchased on the website.

• Christmas Market: Gift cards are old. Come and shop for your holiday gifts from a wide variety of unique, handmade crafts, baked treats, jewellery, and more.
• 3D Archery Shoot: Practice the art of archery at a 3D archery shoot event featuring 40 individual targets, open to all categories. Lunch is included, and medals will be given.
• Family Paint Party: Let artist Aswini guide your brush to a beautiful painting creation by… you! Hosted at Shoeless Joe’s, come eat, chat, and paint.

• PA Day Camp at Country Heritage Park: Parents needing childcare during this PA Day should take advantage of this amazing PA Day Camp for kids in grades 1 to 6.
• All 4 Her PA Day Astronaut Adventure: Another great PA Day option for kids ages 7-11 at MCRC in Milton for a day of fun learning what it takes to be an astronaut.
• Jerk Chicken Pop-up with Grant’s Gourmet: Third Mood Brewing presents an evening of Grant’s Gourmet Jerk Chicken. Drink, eat, be merry.
• Retro Mix presents “All 80’s & 90’s Video Dance Party”: Come out and dance your blues away with the Retro Video Dance Party. Featuring DJ Thomas Hall from radio station Boom 97.3, Retro Dance parties. This is a free event at Champs Family Entertainment.

Saturday, November 29

• Meat Shoot: This event is open to all who wish to attend. All shooters must have a valid PAL and bring their own gun. 12 Gauge shotguns only. 9:00 registration, 9:30 start time.
• Walk To Bethlehem: Register for the Walk to Bethlehem, hosted by SGSA Coptic Orthodox Church. This holy event takes place at the Milton Fairgrounds. This is a two-day event.
• Winter Wonderland & Market at Mohawk Park: Come out for the 3^rd annual Winter Wonderland & Market to celebrate the season and shop with the local vendors. Includes kids’ activities and entertainment, plus a visit from Santa.
• Handel’s Messiah: Join the Milton Choristers and the Paskke Chamber Ensemble, conducted by Handel Messiah as they perform the beloved Hallelujah chorus.

Sunday, November 30

• Family Paint Party: Unleash your inner creativity with an afternoon of painting fun at Boston Pizza with artist Disha Sharma.
• Winter Wonderland and Holiday Market: Get your jingle on at this Free Winter Wonderland and Holiday Market on Sunday, November 30. It includes a kids’ zone with face painting and crafts, local vendors, food, and a visit from Santa. Please bring a non-perishable item to support the Food for Life Halton food drive.
