The season of giving is upon us, and the Tiger Jeet Singh Foundation is kicking it off with tons of free festive fun while helping create some holiday magic for children and families in need.
On Saturday, December 7, one of the most anticipated Milton holiday events of the year returns as Miracle on Main Street takes over downtown Milton. Learn about the incredible mission of this community festival and everything you need to know before you go.
About Miracle on Main Street
Now in its 16th year, the Tiger Jeet Singh Foundation’s annual Miracle on Main Street holiday festival has supported dozens of local charities since its inception in 2009, including Halton Women’s Place, Milton Halal Food Bank, Salvation Army, SickKids, plus many more schools and community agencies.
Hosted in partnership with the Downtown Milton BIA and the Halton Regional Police, admission is free with the donation of a new, unwrapped toy. Donations of gift cards, food and lifestyle gear will also be collected.
More than a fundraiser, Miracle on Main Street is a beloved Milton tradition that brings the community together every year with free rides, entertainment, and attractions.
The event will take place from 2 pm to 7 pm on December 7, rain or shine, stretching down Main St. East between Brown St. and Commercial St.
What to See and Do
Attractions
Making the event extra memorable for guests young and old, Miracle on Main Street has free carnival rides, including a Ferris Wheel, a swing ride, and a Berry-Go-Round. Another popular attraction returning this year is the petting zoo featuring miniature horses, goats, sheep, donkeys, pigs, and more. Young animal lovers will also have the opportunity to enjoy a free pony ride.
Along with these exciting attractions, Miracle on Main will also have a fantastic lineup of live performers playing popular and festive musical hits.
Special Guests
Throughout the festival, guests will have a chance to meet local dignitaries and celebrity wrestling legend Tiger Jeet Singh himself, along with his son, WWE superstar Tiger Ali Singh.
The big guy in red will also make an appearance, so be sure to have your camera ready for the perfect Santa photo op.
Holiday Market
This year’s Miracle on Main vendor market includes over 20 local businesses and artisans. Shoppers can pick up gifts from makers like 70 Below Treats, Backed by Bees, the Golden Yarn, Tijuana Tom’s House of Sauce, Etched Creations, and popular retailers like ADR Pet Stores and Oh Look, Fabric!
Food Vendors
When you’re hungry, you can grab a meal or a treat from one of the 15 food vendors. Downtown Milton businesses, including Butcher Bar, Pasqualino, and Wildflour Bakery, will be participating, along with favourites like Blackstone Food Truck. Enjoy your meal around one of the toasty fire pits throughout the festival.
Frequently Asked Questions
What type of toy donations should I bring?
Toys appropriate for a wide range of ages are appreciated. Sporting equipment, board games, LEGO sets, craft kits, educational toys, and technology are popular choices. To find out more about the most needed toys, contact the Tiger Jeet Singh Foundation.
Gift cards and financial donations are also accepted in lieu of toys.
Will there be road closures?
Closures have not been officially announced for 2024 but are likely to include the same areas as previous years. Prepare for Main St. to be blocked off between Brown and Commercial, while James and Martin Streets will also be blocked off to Mill St., and Charles St. will be closed to Mary St.
Can I bring my pet?
While pets are welcome, keep in mind that the event is likely to have a high volume of foot traffic, making it difficult for them to venture far, and some pets may feel overwhelmed. They must be on a leash and remain with you at all times. Additionally, be conscious of the petting zoo.
Where can I find parking?
Parking is available in municipal lots downtown, including Rotary Park, except for Brown Street Municipal Parking Lot #1 at Brown and Main St. East. Street parking will also be available on side streets outside of the blocked-off areas, including Mary St.
