Part of the Ontario Parks, Bronte Creek is located in Oakville, Ontario and is open to the public for day use of the park and camping.
Here’s an insider camping tip: To access the campground, you will want to use the entry at 3201 Upper Middle Road West.
Bronte Creek has four campground loops. The Prairie Loop is meant to accommodate larger RVs, but you are free to use it with smaller trailers or tents. The other three loops, The Savannah, Woodlands, and Ravine Loops, are ideal for smaller trailers and tents.
Each campsite has electrical hookups; if you need water taps or laundry, you’ll find them nearby. If you are looking for radio-free camping, you’ll want to book at the Savannah Loop. You may also be interested in staying in a yurt that you can rent.
Are you still trying to figure out what a yurt is? They turn regular camping into something a little more comfortable, great for first-timers who aren’t sure if they want to sleep on the ground. Each yurt can accommodate six people, with two sets of bunk beds. They also include heating, electricity, a table and chairs, and a broom to clean up.
Outside the yurt is a deck with a propane barbecue, a picnic table, and a fire pit. If you love hiking the trails while you camp, you’ll find 13 kilometres of beautiful paths in the surrounding forest to explore. Kids love exploring the children’s play barn and farm.
If you have a four-legged friend you want to bring, they are welcome, but, unfortunately, not if you are staying in a yurt. They even have a dog area where you can unleash your dog for some freedom. Overall, a lovely local spot to visit with easy access to the outside world if you forget or need something.
