Dragon Totes is a local Milton business created and run by Bo Youm. She runs the business out of her home, and prides herself on customer experience and service.
Bo Youm is a Milton resident and her business was inspired by the idea of helping people stay organized while moving items.
“I have moved many times in my life and always used plastic totes for many reasons,” says Bo. “I want people to know that there is an option for when they move, and it’s not just to get cardboard boxes.”
Dragon Totes aims to get rid of cardboard boxes and instead offers rentals of strong plastic totes. Bo offers free delivery and pickup for all of her totes.
The totes are available for long-term or short-term rentals, are cleaned between each use, and can be ordered on short notice.
Bo is from the United States but she has family in Milton and has been visiting for many decades. She fell in love with the town, and a few years ago she decided to make the move to Milton.
Initially, Bo was inspired by an ad she saw that advertised a business for women to work out of their homes, with their own cars, to help transport totes — she decided to bring a similar concept to Milton.
Bo has three daughters (ages 10, 13 and 16) and says the appeal of having this business is to be able to both run her business and homeschool her children.
Dragon Totes aims to bring an easy and sustainable way to move. It can be difficult trying to track down cardboard boxes, and they can be dirty, moldy, or not strong enough to hold necessary items. Bo hopes to simplify the process for movers and renovators with her tote business.
“I will bring over clean, sanitized totes to your old address so you can pack. Once you move, I go to your new house and pick up all the empty boxes,” says Bo. “You don’t have to go out and buy new boxes, you don’t have to look for free boxes, or tape up boxes to start moving, and after you don’t have to flatten and recycle them.”
Bo prides herself on her customer satisfaction. She has been working at Dragon Totes for two years now and she will always try her best to make every client happy – often taking last minute client pickups and adjustments.
She enjoys her job, and has a passion for the business, something she hopes shines through in her customer service.
“I find that customer service and personal touch is what sets me apart. I really care about your move and want to be there for you. If I can make it happen, I will. Even with last-minute stuff. It’s what sets me apart from the bigger companies.”
